Sponsors and Mentors

Organizing an international conference requires not only a lot of effort, but also monetary resources.
To this end, OSS2005 identifies two ways companies and individual can support the conference:

  • The Sponsorship Program
  • The Mentorship Program

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Companies can support OSS2005 according to various sponsorship profiles:

Sponsorship Profile

Platinum Sponsorship

€10,000+

Gold Sponsorship + a special acknowledgement

Gold Sponsorship

Silver Sponsorship + a booth in the area surrounding the conference to showcase products, etc.

Silver Sponsorship

Bronze Sponsorship + acknowledgment on the web site of the amount of the donation plus one free pass to the conference for every €1,000 after the first €1,000 (meaning for €2,000-€2,999 one free pass; €3,000-€3,999 two free passes; €4,000-€4,999 three free passes)

Bronze Sponsorship

€500 - €999

The free pass includes attendance to the conference and the related workshops, plus participation at the conference dinner.
It does not include attendance to tutorials.

Individuals can support OSS2005 via a mentorship. A Mentor is a person helping other people attending OS2005. The task of the mentor is:

  • to recruit people coming to the conference in her or his community;
  • to organize their registrations as an early registration; all the people coming with the mentor should register together under the mentor's name;
  • to arrange for their early payments: the mentor should collect the registration fees and then make the advance payment to the conference at the time of the early registration;
  • to help the mentored people in making their arrangements for coming to the conference-travel, hotel, etc.

The mentor name is acknowledged on the OSS2005 web site. The mentor gets one free pass after s/he recruits the first 10 fully registered people, and one additional free pass every additional 5 fully registered people coming with her or him.

Also in this case, the free pass includes attendance to the conference and the related workshops, plus participation at the conference dinner. It does not include attendance to tutorials.
